Phyllis Ruth Noble
Phyllis Ruth Noble, 76, of Steubenville Rd., Amsterdam, died Sunday evening, Feb. 27, 2011, in Aultman Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Canton.
Born April 20, 1934, in Venango County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Isabell Barger Garner.
She was a member of Harsh Memorial Church in Harlem Springs. She and her husband wintered in Florida for 20 years and her hobbies included doing needlework. The family would like to give special appreciation to Dr. Grossman and the nurses of the Palliative Care Unit in Aultman Hospital. They are special people.
She is survived by her husband, Carl, whom she married June 16, 1951; two sons, Jim (Kim) Noble of Harlem Springs and Larry (Karen) Noble of Carrollton; a daughter, Cynthia (Jerry) Renicker of Minerva; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Nona Delair of Streetsboro, Mary (Raymond) Dunlap of Carrollton, and Vaunda Spaulding of Odgen, UT; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and an aunt, Icle Scott of Winter Haven, FL.
She was preceded in death by her in-laws, James and Florence Noble; and three brothers-in-law.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 3 at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home with Rev. Kimberly Arbaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Harlem Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-8 p.m. in the funeral home. |
