"Tony" Dwight Eugene Myers

"Tony" Dwight Eugene Myers, age 87, of Scio passed away Feb. 13, 2010, in Aultman Hospital. 

Born July 31, 1922, in East Canton, he was a son of Bernice Bertha (Schreffler) Hershey and stepfather Orlo William Hershey.

He was a mechanic and manager at Davis Transportation in Canton.  He enjoyed race  cars, stock car racing, carpentry and traveling in his motor home.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Noreen Swier, whom he married Feb. 14, 1991; daughters, Dora (Larry) Batdorf, Carol (Nick) Sylvester, Toni Ann (Hursh) Smith and Wanda Kay Myers; former wife and mother of Wanda Kay Myers, Ruby McNutt; stepson and daughter-in-law, Eric and April Rogers; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wanda Myers; a son, John Eugene Myers; a daughter, Donna Jean Carr and two sisters, Kathryn Judson and Geraldine McCullough.

Funeral services were held Feb. 17 in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home of Carrollton.  Burial was in Perrysville Cemetery.
