Marvin Totherow
Marvin Totherow, age 91, of Carrollton passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at Aultman Hospital.
Born March 10, 1920, in Topton, NC, he was a son of the late Glen and Hester (Tratham) Totherow.
He was a dedicated hardworking Christian man who loved his family and his church. Marvin was a World War II veteran, serving in the US Army and a recipient of the Purple Heart.
He is survived by his wife, Katie Elizabeth (Lambert) Totherow of the residence, whom he married May 24, 1946; five daughters, Elizabeth (Tom) Fry, Linda Peterson and Theresa Totherow, all of Canton, Wanda (Dave) Foster of Pinellas, FL, and Carie (James) Suntheimer of East Rochester; a son Ronald (Rosetta) Totherow of Cleveland; 16 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one sister and one brother.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and a grandson.
Calling hours are Monday, Jan. 16 from 1-3 p.m. at Carrollton Baptist Temple. Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor David Powell officiating. Burial will be in Leavittsville Cemetery with full military honors by VFW, American Legion and DAV. Arrangements are being handled by Allmon-Dugger-Cotto. |
