Edward Lee Gotschall
Edward Lee Gotschall, 60, of Carrollton passed away Dec. 10, 2010, at Carroll Health Care Center after a courageous battle against cancer.
Born Feb. 2, 1950, in Canton, he was the son of the late Leland "Bud" Gotschall and Wilma Irene (Kelly) Gotschall Goodwin.
He attended Scio schools, graduating in 1969.
He left for Germany in November of 1970 to serve with the US Army in the tank division for two years.
Following the service, he worked for the Timken Company of Canton for 34 years retiring in 2003. He also worked for the former Thorne's IGA and the Dollar General Market following his retirement.
He was a member of the Scio American Legion Post #482. He is survived by his paternal aunt, Betty E. Fox of Carrollton, many loving cousins and special neighbors and friends.
His family and friends all share particular memories of Eddie's humor and personality. Ed will be remembered for his love of riding motorcycles and "good" fast food. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held Thursday, Dec. 16 at 11 a.m. in Koch Funeral Home, Scio with Rev. LuAnn Youngman officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery, Carrollton.
