Eloise I. Ray

Eloise I. Ray, 85, of Carrollton died early Monday morning Oct. 15, 2012, at Carroll Healthcare Center in Carrollton.

Born Oct. 5, 1927, in Zanesville, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Daisy Koontz Dusenberry.

Eloise worked in retail clothing sales all her life and was the owner of the former Butler's Clothing Store in Carrollton until her retirement in 1993.  She was a member of Carrollton First United Methodist Church in Carrollton and Easter Star #315 of Carrollton.  She was a member of Carrollton Retail Association and Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Ray, whom she married June 29, 1947; two sons, Gary (Vicki) Ray and Greg (Sandy) Ray, both of Carrollton; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Dusenberry of Goodyear, AZ.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 18 at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home at Carrollton with Rev. Dan Loomis officiating.  Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery in Carrollton.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ray of Hope Fund, c/o Sweeney-Dodds, 129 N. Lisbon St., Carrollton, OH 44615.
