Charlotte Bell Thompson

Charlotte Bell Thompson, age 80, of Abbey Rd., N.E., Carrollton, passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, at Carroll Health Care Center.
Born April 26, 1931, in Lisbon, she was a daughter of the late Robert William and Edith (Mellott) Hoff.

She was a school bus driver with Carroll Hills School and Carroll County MRDD.  She owned a beauty salon in Hanoverton and worked at Wingfoot Films in Carrollton.

She is survived by her husband, Paul G. Thompson, whom she married March 13, 1955; two sons, Robert Lance "Lanny" Thompson of Carrollton and Chris (Janet) Thompson of Magnolia; a sister, Virginia Thompson; two grandchildren, Christina (fiancée Jason Lee) of Bolivar and Brian of Magnolia and two great grandchildren, Hailey and Carter.

Funeral services were held Aug. 22 at Herrington Bethel Church with Pastor Lee Iden officiating.  Burial followed at Herrington Bethel Cemetery.  Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
