Robert C. Zwahlen

Robert C. Zwahlen, age 73, of Paris, died Aug. 7, 2009, in Aultman Hospital.
Born Feb. 14, 1936, in Minerva, he was a son of Rudolph and Teresa (Wyss) Zwahlen.

He retired as a shipper for Sugardale where he worked for 31 years. He was a 1954 graduate of Augusta High School, US Army Veteran and a member of the Minerva First Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife Edith (Kibler) whom he married Oct. 12, 1961; a daughter, Amy (John) Young of Pataskala; a son, Robert "Douglas" (Lori) Zwahlen of Akron; three sisters, Maggie (Robert) Carter of Carrollton, Rose Mary (George) Myers of Eaton, and Elizabeth "Betty" (Jerry) Garrett of Minerva; two brothers, Alfred (Norma) Zwahlen of and Edward (Dixie) Zwahlen, both of Minerva; two sisters-in-law, Joan Zwahlen and Ann Haley; six grandchildren, Galina, Robbie, Spencer, Tyler, Jack and Edie Mae and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by an infant daughter and an infant son and two brothers, John and Richard Zwahlen.

Funeral services were held Aug. 12 at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. Ralph Norman officiating. Burial was in Grove Hill Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to Aultman West Tusc. Dialysis Unit.
