Victor Harold Clark
Victor Harold Clark, 84, of Carrollton passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009.
Born Feb. 14, 1925, in Minerva, he was the son of the late Lawrence Neal and Lila Belle (Allmon) Clark.
He was a farmer, a truck driver since 1950 and enjoyed tractor pulls. He was a branch manager at Sherrodsville Landmark and worked at Hercules and Timken Companies in Canton. He was a WWII and Korean War veteran and attended Carrollton Baptist Temple. He was a member of Carroll County Farm Bureau, Pelican Club and Veteran's Club.
He is survived by his wife, the former Olive Lucille Mills who he married Sept. 5, 1952; two sons, Victor Harold (Sherie) Clark, Jr. of Carrollton and Eddie L. (Jo Ann) Clark of Malvern; two brothers, Richard L. Clark of East Canton and Sheldon E. (Mary Ellen) Clark of Doylestown; a sister, Nina Summer of Minerva; three grandchildren, Lanny Clark of Fort Myers, FL, Lindsey (Josh) Moore of Malvern and Corey Clark of Clymer, NY; two step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; special brothers and sisters-in-law, Gail and Barb Klingaman, Dorothy Hosterman, Martha and Glen Dennis, Pauline and John Cargill, Eleanor Mangun, Paul and Phyllis Mills, Homer and Sandy Mills and many nieces and nephews. Victor was a friend to all, a stranger to none.
Funeral services were held May 26 at Carrollton Baptist Temple with Pastor David L. Powell officiating. Burial followed at Harlem Springs Cemetery with full military honors by VFW, DAV and American Legion. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Carroll County Hospice in Victor's memory. Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
