Carl T. Crowl
Carl T. Crowl, age 90, of Lincoln Ave., Carrollton died Monday morning May 13, 2013, in Mercy Medical Center in Canton following a brief illness.
Born June 1, 1922, in New Rumley, he was a son of the late Gilbert and Myrtle Leggett Crowl.
He was a retired employee of the Ohio Department of Transportation New Philadelphia office. He was a WWII Army veteran and a life member of the VFW. He attended Harsh Memorial United Methodist Church in Harlem Springs.
He is survived by his wife, the former Charlotte West, whom he married in 1972; a step daughter, Wilda Webb of Louisville; two stepsons, Lewis (Erlene) Myers of North Pole, AK, and Dale (Barbara) Myers of Salineville; special friend, Vite Smith of Carrollton; and several cousins, including Helen Leggett Candea of North Canton.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry and Walter.
Private graveside services were held in Westview Cemetery in Carrollton. Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home in Carrollton was entrusted with the arrangements.
