Marie G. Hepner

On April 28, 2013, our mother, Marie G. Hepner ,age 83, went to her heavenly home.

Born April 24, 1930, in Carrollton, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Golda (Carson) Lucas.

Marie retired from Carroll County Visiting Nurses in 1987.  She was a member of Carrollton Baptist Temple.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Ed) Burchfield of Carrollton and Debbie (Jim) Kelly of Harlem Springs; a son, Rick, of Newell, WV; two brothers, Ralph (Dena) and Kenny (Jean) Lucas of Carrollton; three sisters, Corma Haas of Warner Robbins, GA, Rachel (Emerson) Ludwig and Janice Place, both of Minerva; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank W. Hepner; a daughter, Sandy Fawcett; a son, Tim Hepner; a granddaughter, Shelli (Burchfield) DeSimone; two half-brothers, Homer and Andrew; three brothers, Robert, Carl, and Oscar, Jr.; and two sisters, Donna and Betty Hepner.

A funeral service will be held May 1 at 11 a.m. at Allmon Dugger Cotton Funeral Home with Pastor David Powell officiating.  Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.  Calling hours are April 30 from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
