Ronald K. Wheatley
Ronald K. Wheatley, age 75, of Minerva died Saturday, April 17, 2010, at the home of his daughter.
Born Aug. 10, 1934, in Salineville, he was a son to Charles "Rip"and Naoma (Gross) Wheatley. He was a machinist and welder having worked for Good Roads in Minerva for 19 1/2 years and retired from Hendrickson Turner in Canton after 19 1/2 years. He was a member of the Tri-County Eagles Aerie #2199.
He is survived by two daughters, Tamera (Dwain) Hoffster and Cyndy (Bob) Lawson, both of Minerva; a son, Michael (Sheryl) Wheatley of Poland; a sister, Wilda Butcher of Salem; brothers, William Wheatley and Alvin Wheatley, both of Salem; half brother, Bobby Wheatley of Minerva; a great aunt, Thelma Campbell of Minerva; five grandchildren, Alisha King, Mikka Ray, Tara Lawson, Christopher (Susan) Wheatley, and Jason (Jessica) Wheatley; one great grandson, Bryce King; a special niece and her husband, Barbara (Phil) Harris and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna (Mills) Wheatley, who died in 2007; a sister, Marjorie Rice; brother, Charles "Chick" Wheatley and granddaughter, Stacy Ann Ray.
Funeral services will be Thursday April 22 at 11 a.m. in Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Kerry King officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. |
