Richard E. Dine

Richard E. Dine, 70, of Scio died unexpectedly in his home Sunday, April 5, 2009.

Born Oct. 10, 1938, in Canton, he was the son of the late Dwight and Eunice (Tucke) Plumley.

Richard was a beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He enjoyed his retired years working part time at the Carrollton Farmer's Exchange, and spending time laughing and playing with his grandchildren. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Carrollton.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; three children, Kelly (Davis) Dine, Richard (Karla) Dine, and David (Dawn) Dine; nine "Little Angels"; one brother; three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial was held April 8 in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church of Carrollton with Fr. Thomas Marut officiating. Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton was in charge of arrangements. Per Richard's request he will be cremated following the services.
