Rita R. Maurer

Rita R. Maurer, age 57 of Carrollton, beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother, passed away March 28, 2010, following a courageous year and a half long battle with Lou Gehrig's disease.

Born Oct. 25, 1952, in Massillon, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Rita (Bruegger) Davis. 

Rita is survived by her husband, Glenn E. Maurer of Carrollton; sons, Ronald (Angie) Maurer and Eric Maurer; brothers, Jim Davis and Fred Messenger and granddaughters, Courtney and Madison.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Davis.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the ALS Society.  Condolences and special memories may be shared online at www.heritagecremation.com.
