Lloyd Kenneth Ford
Lloyd Kenneth Ford, 86 of Mount Victory, OH, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011, in the Fairfield Medical Center. He was born on April 16, 1924, in Canton, OH, a son of the late Edward and Lanta (Adkins) Ford. He served his country in the United States Army where he was a scout with the paratroopers and was a member of the 517th Infantry Battalion. He was a Purple Heart Recipient and a member of the DAV and VFW Post of Mount Victory.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ethel Ruth (Greaves) Ford of Mount Victory, OH; daughters, Kenne (Tim) Hartong of Scroggsville, OH, April (Robert) Hoffman of Anchorage, AK, Barbara (Michael) Kenney of South Portland, ME, Rebecca Ford-Mitchell of Bethesda, MD and Leslie (Mark Delzell) Ford of Columbus, OH; sons, Jon (Norma) Ford of Colona, IL and Casey (Renay) Ford of Carrollton, OH; two sisters, Dorothy (Richard) Bishop of Indianapolis, IN and Beverly (Fred) Scott of Minerva, OH and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Jack Kenneth Ford; two brothers, Donald and Edward “Huck” Ford and a sister, Frances Grau.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The family is being served by the Halteman-Fett and Dyer Funeral Home, Lancaster, OH.
