Marvin B. Hutto
Marvin B. Hutto, 86, of Alliance, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009 in his home following a nine-month battle with cancer.
Born Jan. 23, 1923, in Uhrichsville, he was the son of the late Joseph B and Mary Glenna (Riegle) Hutto.
He was a 1941 graduate of Minerva High School and was self employed as a master plasterer and dry-waller. After retirement, he became an avid woodworker and furniture maker and had a love of fishing. He served in the U.S. Army in the Philippines during World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Loretta (Senior) Hutto; three daughters, Cheryl Hutto and Belle Fox-Martin of Stockbridge, MA, Stephanie (Bruce) Miller of Alliance, Sonya (John) Morrow of Alliance; a son, James Hutto of East Rochester; grandchildren, Nicole (Adam) Lieberman, Ashley Hutto, Lindsey Miller, Abby Miller, Kevin Morrow, Holly Morrow; two sisters, Ruth Brogan of Minerva and Georgia May Stertzbach of Louisville; a brother, Eugene (Laverne) Hutto of Sherrodsville; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by an infant brother, Lester and daughter-in-law, Mary Kay Hutto.
Funeral Services were held March 18 in Bartley Funeral Home with Pastor Belle Fox-Martin officiating. Burial will be in Augusta Cemetery.
