Jack R. Shriner
Jack R. Shriner, 78, of Carrollton passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
Born April 4, 1934, in Akron, he was a son of the late Arah and Mary King Shriner.
Jack was a Marine veteran having served in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, the former Madeline Burke, whom he married Jan. 10, 1956; three sons, Vincent (Alaina) Shriner of Alva, OK, William (Felicia) Shriner of Bay City, TX, and Arch (Sherry) Shriner of Carrollton; four daughters, Donna Boyer of Rootstown, Brenda (Jim) Hogue of Shalerville, Jeannie (Dave) Richards of Tallmadge, and Bev Newell of Carrollton; 18 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a sister, Janice McKeown of Ravenna.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton with Rev. Dan Loomis officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery in Carrollton. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. in the funeral home. |
