Mary K. Flanigan
Mary K. Flanigan, 89, of Courtview Dr., Carrollton, died Sunday afternoon, Jan. 2, 2011, in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness.
Born Dec. 21, 1921, in Sherrodsville, she was a daughter of the late John and Flossie Campbell Roby.
She wan an Army veteran of WWII and attended Harvest Church in Minerva.
She is survived by a daughter, Bridget Cross of North Olmstead (formerly of Carrollton); a stepson, Homer J. Flanigan of North Benton; two stepdaughters, Maxine Shreves of East Liverpool and Nelda (Sue) Davis of Nevada; 28 grandchildren, including Brandi (Jerry) Phillips, Jaimi Wilson and Shari Ward, all of Carrollton, Kim (Jeff) Solosky of Parma Heights, Kristian Cross of North Olmstead, and Tracy Cody of Minnesota; many great grandchildren and a sister, Sarah Miller of Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer; son, Gary Shellenbarger; daughter, Marlene Papen; son-in-law, Lee Cross; stepdaughter, Zelma Davis; two brothers and two sisters.
Private funeral services were held in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home at Carrollton with Charles Brown officiating. Burial was in Mechanicstown Cemetery. |
