Donovan Edward Cox
Donovan Edward Cox, age 65, of Carrollton passed away at his residence Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011.
Born March 12, 1946, in Dayton, he was a son of Clarence W. and Juanita Violet (Musgrave) Cox.
He worked many years for Babcock & Wilcox Company. He was a self-employed general contractor and a blacksmith, who enjoyed horses and being a blacksmith.
He is survived by three sons, Donovan Cox of Hilliard, David Cox of Canal Fulton and Jacob Cox of Canton; four daughters, Renee (Chris) Rukavina of Uniontown, Casey (Damon) Wright of Wadsworth, MaryAnn Cox of Bradenton, FL, and Donna (Timothy) Zimmerman of Canton; his mother, Juanita Cox; a brother, Arliss Cox of Uniontown; a sister, Judith Dempsey of Wadsworth and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanine Sprinkle.
Calling hours will be Friday evening, Dec. 23 from 5-7 p.m. in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Fry and Pastor Ken Mutschier, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donovan's name to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr., Suite E, Green, OH, 44685. |
