Roy J. Cvengross

Roy J. Cvengross, 87, of the Bergholz and Carrollton area, went to his heavenly home Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011, at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.

Born April 15, 1924, in Wolf Run, he was a son of the late Michael and Theresa Gregor Cvengross.

Roy attended Bergholz schools before entering the US Marine Corps Dec. 7, 1942, where he was the recipient of two battle stars.  He retired in 1988 after 35 years at Ford Motor Company in Canton.

He is survived by two sons, Roy (Marge) Cvengross, Jr., of Carrollton, and Michael of Bergholz; two daughters, Barbara (Joe) Arman of Norwalk, and Irene (Stan) Koterba of East Canton; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred (Andrews) who passed away Nov. 16, 1987; a brother, Mike; and two sisters, Phyllis Owens, Ernestine McMasters and a granddaughter, Kelly Michele Cvengross, who died Dec. 6. 1983.

Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second St, Bergholz, Tuesday, Nov. 22 from 2 p.m. until time of services at 4 p.m. commencing with full military honors.  Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
