Carl L. Barber
Carl L. Barber age 87, entered into rest Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, in Aultman Health Foundation in Canton, OH.
Born March 30, 1924, in Carroll County, he was a son of James Emerson and Roxanna "Roxie" Ray Barber.
He had been a Salem area resident for over 30 years and for the past several years was a resident of Carroll Healthcare Center in Carrollton.
Carl served his country honorably in the United States Army, returning to civilian life Sept. 1, 1949. He had been employed at Mullins in Salem, TRW in Minerva and was a salesman for Cen-Pe-Co Oil Company.
Memories of Carl will be carried on by his caring son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Elizabeth Armstrong Barber of Salineville; his daughter, Dawn Baker of Salem; his son, Matthew Blanc of Jackson, SC, and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lottie Miller Barber; his two sons, Randy Barber and Kenny Barber and his son-in-law, Bob Baker.
A memorial service will be held Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. at Greenbrier Church with Pastor Harold L. Barber officiating.
