Betty A. Fowler

Betty A. Fowler, age 81, of Amsterdam, died Thursday, July 28, 2011, in Aultman Hospital.

Born Feb. 2, 1930, in Brownfield, PA, she was a daughter of Howard and Edna (Johnson) Cameron.

She worked as a nurse's aid for East Carroll Nursing home and worked at Merit Plastic. She was a member of Augusta Christian Church and was a seamstress, as she loved to sew.

She is survived by three daughters, Doris Keister of Conway, SC, Phyllis (Tony) Vermeer of Hamilton, Ontario and Sheila (Ronald) Dinger of Augusta; two sons, Clarence (Debbie) Fowler II of Malvern and Larry (Danene) Fowler of Kensington; 19 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Fowler, who died in 1989.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Sabella. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
