Elizabeth V. "Betty" Rowe

Elizabeth V. "Betty" Rowe, 79, of Bergholz, passed away May 10, 2011, at Trinity Medical Center, Steubenville, following a brief illness.

Born Jan. 27, 1932, in Steubenville, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Josephine Acconey Plemmons.

Betty was a lifelong resident of Bergholz, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved making a home for her family.

She is survived by her sons, Donald (Margie) Rowe of Bergholz and Todd (Judy) Rowe of Cumming, GA; a daughter, Linda (Gary) Griffith of Bergholz; five grandchildren, Tangee (Dale) DeVore, Megan (Todd) English, Ashley (Ryan) Forish, and Evan and Ethan Rowe; one great-granddaughter, Daleanee DeVore; and one sister, Sandra Dunn of Boise, ID.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, William "Bill" Rowe, who died Oct. 29, 2004, and a sister, Lucille Turvey.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second St., Bergholz Thursday from 6 - 9 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 13 with Pastor Rick Shepel officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bergholz Cemetery.
