Ronald Wayne Risaliti
Ronald Wayne Risaliti, age 62, of Carrollton passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010, in Aultman Hospital after a valiant battle with lung cancer.
Born Feb. 17, 1948, in Canton, he was the son of John Vasco and Doris Ruth (Van Voorhis) Risaliti of Louisville.
He was a Navy veteran having serving three tours of duty in Vietnam in amphibious operations and had contracted non-Hodgkin's lymphoma due to having been exposed to Agent Orange. He was a member of United Mine Workers Local, 9922, an ironworker and a self-employed painter. He was a member of Amsterdam and Carrollton VFW and a lifetime member of DAV.
He is survived by his wife, the former Gail Broderick whom he married Sept. 3, 1999; two sons, Zachary (Amy) Risaliti of Mechanicstown and Greg (Sue) Risaliti of Virginia; two daughters, Amanda Risaliti and Cristi Broderick and companion Jim Kummerlen, all of Carrollton; a brother, Gino (Linda) Risaliti of Sandusky; seven grandchildren, Zane Risaliti, Hayden Risaliti, Jaicee Kummerlen, Kylee Kummerlen, Emmy Kummerlen, Anthony Risaliti and Matthew Risaliti; three nieces, Gina Risaliti, Nicole Risaliti, and Angela Risaliti and his ex-wife and friend, Linda Risaliti of Carrollton.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Risaliti.
At the family's request, the remains of Ronald Wayne Risaliti have been cremated and will be buried at the family's convenience. A memorial service was held in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton with Pastor Harold Barber officiating. Full military honors were provided by VFW, DAV and American Legion. |
