Frances Jane Mosley
Frances Jane Mosley, age 71, of Florissant, CO, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013, in Pikes Peak Hospice at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO.
Born Jan. 23, 1942, in Dalton, GA, she was the oldest daughter of the late C.L. and Nellie (Ledford) Godfrey.
Jane lived in Canton most of her childhood, and married Randall Lee Mosley on July 16, 1960. She accompanied Randall, who was in the U. S. Army, to Fort Lewis, WA, Fort Riley, KS, and Fort Carson, CO, before returning to Ohio in 1967. They settled in Dellroy until 1985, when they moved to Colorado and eventually settled in Florissant. With the exception of a brief return to Ohio, Jane lived in Florissant until her death. Jane was a wife, mother and homemaker. She loved everyone and was, in return, loved by the many people she knew. Her family and friends were always the center of her life.
Jane is survived by her husband, Randall, with whom she celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary last July; her daughter, Shannon Owen, of Cripple Creek, CO; two sons, Mark Mosley, of Dellroy, and Kelvin (Colleen) Mosley, of Leonardtown, MD; her sister, Linda (James) Kestel, of North Canton; two brothers, Chuck (Irene) Godfrey, of North Canton, and Tim (Vicki) Godfrey, of East Sparta; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her oldest son, Jeffrey Scott Mosley, a sister, Judy Ann Godfrey, and two brothers, James Larry Godfrey and Robert Randal Godfrey.
Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Steven M. Smith officiating. Interment will be in Union Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
