Irma I. Baudendistel
Irma I. Baudendistel, age 90, of Paris, loving and generous mother passed away into the arms of her Lord on Friday afternoon, March 6, 2009, in her home.
Born in Granville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Charlotte Wheeler Freed, had been a Magnolia resident most of her life, and resided in Paris the last 5-6 years.
She retired in 1982 from the U.S. Ceramic Tile Co. in East Sparta, after 30
years service, where she was a glaze operator and press operator.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Richard Slagle, of Waynesburg; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dallas and Thomasene Plessinger, of Carrollton, and Jack and Sheryl Baudendistel, of Paris; one sister, Clara Laub, of
Lewistown, PA; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. "Red" Baudendistel, on Nov. 24, 1983; a grandson, great-grandson, three brothers and two sisters.
A private service for the family was held March 9 in Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. Interment was in Sandy Valley Cemetery. There were no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Baudendistel's memory may be made to either Alliance Hospice or the donor's favorite charity.
