Mark Thomas Miles

Mark Thomas Miles, Sr., age 51, of Canton passed away at his residence Monday, Feb. 4, 2013.

Born Sept. 1, 1961, in Steubenville, he was a son of Paul Edward and Georgette Louise (Smith) Miles, Sr.

He was a state certified childcare worker for eight years at Carroll Char-Lynn Group Home.  He belonged to the Rack Pack Hunting Club of Carrollton and was avid about hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his two ex-wives, Debbie Leighton and Jackie Pittman; seven children, April Carpenter, Jamie Brownfield, Mark T. Miles, Jr., Jamie Briggs, Chris Briggs, Matt Briggs, and Ricky Briggs; four sisters, Bonnie Miles, Kathy Hollowell, Kristine Miles, and Christy Bivens; two brothers, Jim Kellerman and Lindy Miles; and Dean Kellermier, Jr., a special nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ralph Kellermier, Sr., and Eddie Miles; and a sister, Patty Platt.

Funeral services were held Feb. 10 at his Mayham Rd., Carrollton home.  Burial was in Harlem Springs Cemetery.

Allmon Dugger Cotton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
