R. Don Manfull
R. Don Manfull, age 83, of Carrollton died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, in Aultman Hospital. Born July 13, 1927, in Augusta, he was a son to Royal and Laura (Snively) Manfull.
He was a retired dairy farmer and bricklayer for Canton Local #6. He graduated from Augusta High School in 1945 and attended The Ohio State University for two years. He was a member of Augusta Christian Church, past master of Augusta Lodge #504 F&AM, and formerly of Pattersonville Grange, Augusta Ruritan Club, Augusta Volunteer Fire Dept. and a Boy Scout leader.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, M. Arlene (Harsh) Manfull whom he married March 27, 1947; daughter, Debra Sankar of New Philadelphia; daughter-in-law, Pam Manfull of Dover; sister, Leota Gotschall of FL; four grandchildren, Jaime (Chad) Miller of Dover, Amber (Erik) Dursik of Columbus, Jessica Sankar and Jason of New Philadelphia and Lucas Sankar of New Philadelphia; and seven great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by two sons, Jerry and Alvin Manfull; a son-in-law, Phil Sankar; a sister, Iola DeVault and a brother, George Manfull.
Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 31 at 1 p.m. in Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. Ralph Norman officiating. Burial will be in Augusta Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday two hours prior to services from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Masonic services will be held Monday at 10:45 a.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Augusta Christian Church or American Cancer Society. |
