Mabel Harrison Lairson Hill
Mabel Harrison Lairson Hill, age 86, of Carrollton died early Friday morning, Jan. 11, in her home.
Born Feb. 15, 1926, on a farm outside of Scio, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Alice (Haines) Harrison.
She retired from the former TRW in Minerva and enjoyed many
years of traveling. She was an avid gardener and loved playing cards with family and friends. She enjoyed visits with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Helen Lowdermilk.
She is survived by five children, Tom Lairson of Minerva, Timothy
S. (Linda) Lairson of Athens, Ted (Diana) Lairson of Perrysville, Tanya (Ted) Gartrell of Bowerston, Tad (Judy) Lairson of Perrysville; a sister, Dorothy Reigle of Canton; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great, great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, William F. Lairson, whom she married July 2, 1943, and passed away Nov. 27, 1973, and Billy M. Hill, whom she married Jan. 25, 1975, and died Nov. 10, 2004; two brothers, Wilbur and Delmar Pete Harrison, and three sisters, Famy Hauritz, Virginia McConnell and Mary Studer.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday, Jan. 15, from 6-9 p.m. in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home at Carrollton. A funeral service
will be held Jan. 16 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Lu Ann Youngman officials. Burial will follow in Perrysville Cemetery.
