David James Snedden

David James Snedden, 57, of Carrollton, lost his battle with lung cancer Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010.

Born Aug. 27, 1952, in Akron, he was a son of David and Gertrude Snedden, Dave moved to Carrollton in 1975 with his wife, Robin.  Married for 34 years, they enjoyed life in the country and raised their three children, Devon, Nathan and Lindsay. Dave was an artist, a lover of nature, and a special source of strength for all who knew him.

Dave was an engineer with The Hoover Company for 15 years before retiring in 2005, after which he worked as an Engineering Consultant.

Dave is survived by his wife, Robin (Zaychek); daughters, Devon and Lindsay; son, Nathan; mother, Gertrude; and sister, Martha.  He was preceded in death by his father, David; brother, Laird; and sister, Lisa.

Funeral services were held Jan. 6 in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton. Graveside Service followed at Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery.
