William Edward "Ed" Johnson
William Edward "Ed" Johnson, Jr., age 66, of Carrollton passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Canton.
Born June 18, 1946, in Beckley, WV, he was a son of William Edward Johnson, Sr. and Helen Johnson.
He was a welder for American Steel for 30 years and retired from President Local Steel Workers. He loved hunting, was an avid Harley rider and was a trustee of the Carrollton Eagles.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Kay (Sandridge) Johnson, whom he married May 24, 2007; a son, Mark Boyles of Carrollton; three daughters, Melissa (Bill) Hawkins of Carrollton, Cora (Monte) Sharp and Shelby (Tracy) Moats, both of Minerva; a brother, David (Karen) Johnson of Carrollton; three sisters, Sue, Connie and Irene; two granddaughters, Brandy (Cody) Brothers of Magnolia and Gabrielle Irwin of Carrollton; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Dec. 18 at 1 p.m. in Allmon Dugger Cotton Funeral Home with Pastor Burt McGlavin officiating. Calling hours will be Dec. 17 from 6-9 p.m. and one hour prior to the service Tuesday. |
