Helen L. Martin

Helen L. Martin, age 83, of Malvern, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, in Mercy Medical Center in Canton.

Born Aug. 25, 1929, in Malvern, she was a daughter of Willis and Anna (Hodge) Ludy.

She was a 1947 graduate of Malvern High School and a member of Malvern First Christian Church and Minerva Calvary Wesleyan Methodist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Florence (James) Breckenridge of Malvern, Faye (Paul) VanMeter and Katherine (Gary) Price, both of Minerva; two sons, Ralph (Debbie) Martin of Canton, and Willis (Carol) Martin of Minerva; two brothers, Roy (Joyce) Ludy and James Ludy, both of Malvern; 15 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Martin, who died May 19, 2011; a son, Kris Martin; two sisters, Vera McDonald and Judy Ludy; and a great grandson.

Following cremation, a graveside memorial service will be held Dec. 14 at 11 a.m. in Bethlehem Cemetery in Malvern with pastor Blake Quales officiating. Those wishing to share condolences may sign the online register book at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
