Betty Roof, 90, of Second St., Carrollton, died in her home Saturday evening, Nov. 20, 2010, following an extended illness.
Born March 4, 1920, in Carrollton, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Helen Cole.
She was a homemaker, member of First United Methodist Church in Carrollton and United Methodist Women of the church.
She is survived by a son, Gary (Sonja) Roof of Kilgore; two daughters, Carol Fisher of Mingo Junction and Debra (Charles) Bryan of Carrollton; a son-in-law, Kenny Scott; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl (Dean) Roof in 2006; a son, Ronald Roof; daughter, Nancy Scott; and six brothers.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home in Carrollton with Rev. Dan Loomis and Pastor Mark Statler officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery at Carrollton. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. in the funeral home.
