Robert E. Ruegg
Robert E. Ruegg, age 80, of Carrollton passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at Carroll Health Care Center.
Born Oct. 24, 1931, in Sandyville, he was a son of the late Eugene Oscar and Helen Vivian (Wiggington) Ruegg.
He was a truck driver for 31 years with Kopp Clay and worked for 15 years for Ruegg Brothers in Waynesburg. He attended First United Methodist Church in Carrollton. He loved antique cars, Nascar, and deer hunting.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anna "Jean" Bland of the residence, who he married Dec. 30, 1978; four sons: Richard (Debi) Ruegg of Indiana, Roger ( Nori) Ruegg of Magnolia, Ronald (Rebecca) Ruegg and Rusty (Vicki) Ruegg, both of Waynesburg; two sisters, Marlene (Vernon) Brumbaugh of Medina, and Nancy (Tom) Tam of Texas; a brother, Jim (Debra) Ruegg of Carrollton; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three step children and six step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Brewer.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 11 a.m. in Allmon Dugger Cotton Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Loomis officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Nov. 15 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
