Elizabeth "Tib" Julene Lilley

Elizabeth "Tib" Julene Lilley, age 83,Elizabeth "Tib" Julene Lilley, age 82, passed away unexpectedly into the loving arms of her eternal Father Monday, Oct. 18, 2010.  She is once again joined with her husband, Donald "Mutt" Lilley, who left her behind July 2, 2010.

Born Oct. 25, 1927, in Mechanicstown, she was a daughter of the late Queenie E. and Paul G. Grove.  She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Augustine.

Tib spent her life taking care of all those around her.  She spent the last few years devoting her life to her loving husband until his passing.

She was Director of the Carroll County Council of Aging from 1977 to her retirement in 1992.  She was instrumental and the reason so many services were made available to the senior community today.  She was a member of the Church of Christ (Christian) in Carrollton, serving on the stewardship committee for 20 years, building fund committee and Christian Women's  Fellowship. She was a longtime member of Carroll Eastern Star #315, Carrollton Garden Club and numerous other organizations.  She was honored with being Carrollton Business Woman of the Year in 1997.

She is survived by a son, Robert (Yonette) Lilley of Elkin, NC; a daughter, Patti (Mark) Manfull of Carrollton; her most precious joys in life, her grandchildren, Kristen (Corey) Yeager, Matt (Maci) Manfull, Angie (Dave) Holland and Lanette Masters; great grandchildren; a brother, Richard H. (Bernice) Grove; a sister, Bernice J. Hirst-Ansbach and numerous nieces and nephews.

In her passing she has left us with her deep love for family and her compassion for living life always looking towards eternity.

Funeral services will be held Oct. 23 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Christ (Christian) located at 353 Moody Ave., Carrollton.  Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Carrollton.  Calling hours will be held Friday, Oct. 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home with Eastern Star funeral services at 7 p.m

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Carrollton Church of Christ (Christian), 353 Moody Ave, Carrollton, 44615, or Carroll County Senior Citizens Center, 100 Kensington Rd., Carrollton, 44615.
