Anna M. (Lumley) Mason
Anna M. (Lumley) Mason, age 84, of Carrollton passed away Oct. 11, 2013, in Mercy Medical Center following a sudden illness.
She was born April 7, 1929, and retired from the Carroll County State Highway Garage.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Carrollton and a life member of the VFW in Carrollton. She enjoyed gardening and raising flowers and was an avid bowler.
She is survived by two sons, Roy (Margie) Champer and Robert (JoAnn) Champer; two daughters, Frances (Rick) Ferell, and Pamela Champer and companion Fred Tarr IV; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Nikki, Richard, Kyrrie, Kandi-Jo, Jesica, and Ashlee; 11 great grandchildren; a brother, David (Donna) Lumley and two sisters, Bertha Benware and Emma Eisley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Sarah (Henry) Lumley; two husbands, Paul C. Champer and Ralph "Red" Mason; and three brothers, Howard, Donald and William.
A funeral service was held Oct. 14 in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton. Burial was in Baxter's Ridge Cemetery.
