John L. Archer

John L. Archer, age 58, of Malvern died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, in the Cleveland Clinic.

Born Jan. 31, 1952, in Lodi, he was a son to Gail and Dorothy (Allen) Archer.

He graduated from Northwestern High School.  He was a commercial printer for many years working as a pressroom manager and owner of Minerva Printing Co. and was involved with many local bands both as a performer and sound engineer.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Mae (Herron) Archer who he married July 28, 1973; daughter, Christina (Michael) Whitlock of Muncie, IN; son, David (Rebecca) Archer of Robertsville; sister, Linda Mae (Greg) Mong of Wooster and four grandchildren, Jayden, Skye, David, and Abigail.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. in Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Jeff Lord officiating.  Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Salem.  Calling hours will be Friday evening 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
