James E. Mick
James E. Mick, age 82 of Minerva died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, in Alliance Community Hospital.
Born Oct. 5, 1929, in Minerva, he was a son of Clarence and Bernice (Heath) Mick.
He retired from Republic Steel after 35 years of service as a millwright.
He is a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva and a former member of Knights of Columbus.
He was employed by Louis Petros and Sons Co., Cronin China and was a former Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop #269 in Minerva.
He is survived by a daughter, Sally (Don) Karlen of Minerva; two sons, James (Cathy) Mick Jr. of Carrollton and David (Mary) Mick of Uniontown; two brothers, Thomas (Edith) Mick of Minerva and Daniel (Carol) Mick of Paris; six grandchildren, two step grandchildren; a great grandson and two step great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy (Recchio) Mick, who died in 2007,and a sister Muriel Mick.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be Thursday, Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. in St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson as celebrant. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
