Nancy Grace Borland

Nancy Grace Borland, 76, of Carrollton passed away Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, in Mercy Medical Center.

Born March 22, 1933, she was a daughter of the late George John and Grace (Hull) Metzger.

She was a member of Herrington Bethel Methodist Church.  She enjoyed golfing and crocheting blankets and hats.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin W. Borland who she married March 31, 1951; three sons, Gary (Linda) Borland  and David (Michele) Borland, both of Mechanicstown and Larry (Barb) Borland, Sr. of Uhrichsville; a daughter, Penny Stamm of Minerva; two brothers, Don Metzger of Owensboro, KY, and Jerome Metzger of Malvern; 10 grandchildren, Kristen, Amy, Josh, Larry Jr., Joe, Brandon, Levi, Sammantha, Raven and KC and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Metzger and a brother, Ralph Metzger.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton.  Calling hours are Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
