French Charles Carpenter

French Charles Carpenter, 76, of Fairlawn, PA, and formerly of Carrollton and Akron, passed away Sept. 14, 2010.

He was a son of the late Clark and Mabel (Johnson) Carpenter and was self-employed.

He is survived by two sons, Paul Carpenter and Jimmy Carpenter; two daughters, Mary (Kenny) Thompson and Ruthie Taylor; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Charles.

At his request, cremation has taken place.  Calling hours and a brief service will be held Sept. 25 from 12-1 p.m. at Calvary Gospel Temple, 1815 Grace Rd., Akron.
