Carole (Pyles) Finlayson
Carole (Pyles) Finlayson, age 69, of Vienna, WV, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, after a lengthy battle from stroke related complications with her loved ones by her side.
Born Sept. 24, 1941, in Steubenville OH, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Violet A. (Kuklis) Pyles She was a 1959 graduate of Carrollton High School and long standing resident of Carroll and Stark Counties where she worked at such places as TRW and Hoover Co, among others. She moved to Holiday, FL, in the early 90's to retire and be near family, golfing, and the ocean. Her last years she spent building a life in West Virginia. She had many passions; fishing, singing, music, nature and she thought animals were people. She loved her family, teasing the kids by taking out her dentures and taking family vacations. She enjoyed a good bologna sandwich and a hot cup of coffee.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Walton) Peterson of Ocoee, FL, and Lisa (Walton) Alley of Cocoa, FL; a son, James W. Walton, Jr., of Waynesburg; sister, Sandra Garrett of Navarre; adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several cherished nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Finlayson of Boliver, and brothers, J. Ronald Pyles of Malvern and James Pyles of Carrollton.
