Rex Alan Kempton
Rex Alan Kempton, 48, of Gallo Rd., Carrollton died Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, in his home following a brief illness.
Born July 7, 1963, in Marion, he was a son of the late Calvin and Ashley Marie Couch Kempton. He was a production manager at Kopp Clay in Malvern. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and attended Free Will Baptist Church of Waynesburg.
He is survived by his wife, the former Ethel Mae Leggett; a son and daughter-in-law, Steven (Santana) Kempton of Carrollton; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth Calnan of Canton; his foster parents, Michael and Peggy Wolford of Warren; two grandchildren, Makayla Marie and Raylynn Rennee; three stepchildren, Melissa Dawn, Natalie Jo and Kaitlyn; two brothers, Jeff Kempton of Alabama and Steve Kempton of Columbus and one sister, Cathy McFarland of Alabama.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tim.
Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 12 at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton with Rev. Raymond Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Malvern. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home. |
