Robert Herman Nehus

Robert Herman Nehus, 78, of Minerva, passed away, Thursday, July 7, 2011 at his home.

Born July 13, 1932, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Bernard A. Nehus and Helen C. (Koenig) Nehus Bodura.

He worked as an engineer at TRW and PCC Airfoils for 34 years, retiring in 1995.  
He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church since 1961, Knights of Columbus, and served on the Minerva Community Meals Board.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. 

Bob was an avid photographer and woodturner and a member of Buckeye Wood Turners.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Marilyn Frances (Miller) Nehus; four daughters, Mary F. (Duane) Dierschow of State Center, IA, Jeanne M. (Joseph) Ward of Augusta, Patricia A. (Bruce) Ohler of Mechanicstown, and Kathleen L. (Gregory) Draper of Minerva; a son, Robert B. Nehus and fianc√© Cathy Barnhart of Malvern; five grandchildren, Carly Ferguson, Olivia Dierschow, Wesley Dierschow, Amanda Louive, and Brian Ohler; a sister, Helen B. Nehus of Pittsburgh, PA; a brother, Bernard J. Nehus of Pittsburgh, PA; and a step-brother Michael (Grace) Bodura of  Bethel Park, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Gabriel Catholic Church July 11 with Celebrant Fr. Victor Cinson.  Burial was in East Lawn Cemetery.
