Harry Walter Toot Sr
Harry Walter Toot Sr.. age 76, of Kensington died Tuesday, May 25, 2010, in Alliance Community Hospital.
Born March 8, 1934, in Elkton, he was a son of Frank and Ruth (Donaldson) Toot.
He retired from B&W Tube in Alliance where he was a crane operator for 40 years. He is a US Air Force veteran, a member of the Kensington Christian Church and former member and elder of Glade Run Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, H. Joan (Hyronimus) Toot, whom he married April 6, 1973; six daughters, Cathy (Andy) Evans of Deerfield, Carol (John) Green of Alliance, Betty Jean (John) Kress of Louisville, Julia (Steve) Dangelo of East Rochester, Christine Roberts of Minier, IL, and Hope (David) Chan of Singapore; three sons, Harry Walter (Shelly) Toot Jr. of Minerva, Frank Toot of Louisville and Tim (Lori) Toot of Alliance; two sisters, Nancy (James) Loudin of Atwater and Marie (Ron) Horning of Canton; a brother, Bill Toot of Youngstown; 23 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Polverine.
Following cremation, a memorial service was held May 29 in Minerva First Christian Church with Rev. Willard Balint officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alliance Visiting Nurse and Hospice Assoc. Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
