Elizabeth Tam Smith
Elizabeth Tam Smith, 90, of Carrollton, passed away March 23, 2010, peacefully after a short illness.
Born Oct. 10, 1919, in Carrollton, she was a daughter of the late Ross and Grace Harrison Stewart.
She was a member of the Christ Community Church in Dellroy, was an 11-year employee of the former Carrollton Manufacturing Company, and retired after 24-years from Diebold Company in Canton.
She is survived by one son, Thomas (Nancy Ruegg) Tam of Katy, TX; two stepsons, Jan (Barbara) Smith and Jon Smith, both of Carrollton; three grandchildren, Tracy Chandler of Houston, TX, Rebecca (Brian) Bolstad of Ft. Worth, TX, and Nichole Smith of Columbus; four great grandchildren, Ryan Chandler (11), Nicholas Chandler (8), and three year old twins, Luke and Nate Bolstad.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Cloice Tam, March 27, 1945, while serving in Germany during World War II and her husband of 47 years, Moyne Smith, whom she married Feb. 19, 1960, died April 7, 2007.
Funeral services were held March 27in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton with Pastor Ron Silver officiating. Burial was in the Westview Cemetery.
