James R. "Jim" Mills

James R. "Jim" Mills, 81, of Depot Rd., Lisbon, passed away March 13, 2011, in Salem Community Hospital following a recent illness.

He was born July 24, 1929, at Carrollton, a son of the late Harry H. and Olive (Davis) Mills. He was a Presbyterian by faith and served in the U.S. Army during peacetime. He owned and operated Jim Mills Tire Company of Lisbon.

He is survived by three daughters; Beverly (Rocky) Scott of Uhrichsville, Betty (Mike) Mann of Carrollton, and Laura Mills of Lisbon; two sons, James D. Mills of Scio and and Matthew D. Mills of Lisbon; one sister, Carol (Kenneth) Brown of Creston; eight grandchildren and one great grandson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; Walter, Dean and Donald Mills, and three sisters;Doris Mills, Donna Wheatley and Shirley Buehler.

In keeping with his wishes, no calling hours or funeral service will be observed.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngtown, OH 44512.
