Herbert Russell Cain

Herbert Russell Cain, 79, of Carrollton passed away Wednesday evening, March 3, 2010, in Aultman Hospital of Canton from complications due to lung surgery and cancer.

Born May 1, 1930, in Jacksonburg, WV, he was a son of the late James W. and Angie Wyatt Cain.

He is survived by his wife, the former Vera Harlan whom he married, Feb. 14, 1953; two sons, Harold (Beth) Cain and Herman (Tammy) Cain, both of Carrollton; a daughter, Lisa (Walter) Moyer of Carrrollton; daughter-in-law, Kassey of North Canton; 11 grandchildren, James (Michelle), Darrell Jr., Amanda, Erica (Wes) Webb, Charlie (Brittany), Doug, Brian Moyer (Lea), Brittany Moyer (Nick), Lorri (Greg) Garrison, Anitra (Shane) Meek, and Kristofer Eick and 25 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Darrell B. Cain; two sisters and eight brothers.

Funeral services were held March 8 in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton with Rev. Kimberly Arbaugh officiating.  Burial was in Harlem Springs Cemetery.
