Dorothy "Jean" West Warner

Dorothy "Jean" West Warner, 86, homemaker, peacefully passed from this life into the Lord's loving arms Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, as her beloved husband of 65 years, Chester Warner sat devotedly by her side.

Born June 21, 1923, in Cannonsburg, PA., she was a daughter of the late Melvin Dorsey West and Dorothy Hickson West.

She is survived by her husband, Chester; son Chester "Ralph" and wife Barbara ; grandchildren, Amanda and Jerry Lipham, Chelsea and Jeremy Lipham, Ryan Warner and Michael Warner; great grandchildren, Nia Kelly, Noella Lipham and Lila Lipham and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and her St. Marks United Methodist Church family.

She will be remembered by Chet for all the "good times" they shared throughout their beautiful marriage.  She will be remembered by Ralph and Barbara for her unwavering support and unconditional love and by her grandchildren and great grandchildren for her sense of humor, care and concern, peanut butter pie and deviled eggs.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Iris West McQueen and brothers, Vincent, Melvin and Floyd "Barney" West.

A memorial service was held Feb. 22 in St. Marks United Methodist Church.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Odyssey Hospice, 1320 SE 25th Loop, Ocala, FL, 34471 or the American Cancer Society.  Arrangements were by Roberts Funeral Home in Ocala, FL.
