Arthur J. Boske, age 73, of Dellroy
Arthur J. Boske, age 73, of Dellroy, went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 5, 2009, after a struggle with cancer.
He was born in Chicago, IL, on Sept. 5, 1935. After he and his family moved to Ohio in 1969, he became employed by Central States Can Company of Massillon where he later became Vice President of Manufacturing. At the time of his death he was co-owner of Secured Monitoring Systems. He was past President of International Management Company of Canton in 1976-77. Art was a member of the Atwood Yacht Club as well as the Moose, Eagles, and Vets Club of Carrollton. He was a graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 55 years, Arlene; two daughters, Donna Bertram, of Canton, and Dawn (David) Upperman, of North Canton; three sons, Drew, of Columbus, Glen, of Las Vegas, and Michael (Laura), of North Canton; seven grandchildren, who were the joys of his life, Alison (Mike) Heppe, of Canton, Jason Bertram, of Lake Forest, CA, Sarah, Tyler, and Eric Upperman, of North Canton, Brooke and Alexander Boske, of North Canton; two brothers, John (Kim) Boske, of Bartlett, IL, Terry (Dawn) Boske, of Hanover Park, IL; sister, Joan Pagel, of Elk Grove, IL; sister-in-law, Kathleen Boske, of Centerville, OH; several nieces and nephews, and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mary (Quinn) Boske, and his brother, James Boske, of Centerville.
In lieu of flowers a donation to Hospice of Tuscarawas County or St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church Building Fund would be appreciated. A Memorial Service was held at St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church in Canton.
