Martha Jane (Kehr) Cox

Martha Jane (Kehr) Cox, age 87, of Carrollton passed away Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, in Carroll Healthcare Center.

Born Sept. 27, 1922, in Mingo Junction, she was a daughter of the late Sir Kenneth Elbridge and Thelma Marie (Kroneajer) Kehr.

She was a school custodian in Jefferson County and was a member of Carrollton United Methodist Church and Daughters of America.

She is survived by two daughters, Georgia (Valuska) LaRue of Carrollton, and Barbara Ann (Valuska) (Rich) Marple of Barberton; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husbands, George Valuska Jr., Warren Thrasher and Howard Cox and a daughter, Thelma Jean Valuska-Wilkinson who passed away November 2000 and was a twin sister to Barbara.

Funeral services were held Feb. 23 at Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton with Pastor Dan Loomis officiating.  Burial was in Steubenville Union Cemetery.
