Evelyn Ruth Walters

Evelyn Ruth Walters, age 79, of Carrollton passed away Jan. 22, 2012, at Aultman Hospital in Canton.

Born Sept. 2, 1932, in Loudon Twp., Carroll County, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Helen (Mallerney) Kohler.

She graduated from Carrollton High School in 1950, and went to Actual Business College in Canton.  She worked for Carrollton Manufacturing, the Allmon Law practice, Carroll Healthcare and The Scio Pottery.

She is survived by two sisters, Clara Kohler of Canton and Judy Kohler of Carrollton; nieces and nephews, Mike (Sandy) Kohler, John (Sharon) Walters, Glenn (Steve) (Irene) Kohler, Jeff (Jean) Kohler, Todd (Jodie) Kohler and Kevin (Sandy) Kohler; a special grand niece, Jenny Kohler; and other grand nieces and grand nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Walters, whom she married May 23, 1959, and who died Nov. 6, 1994; and two brothers, Harold and Glenn Kohler.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 11 a.m. at Harlem Springs Cemetery with Pastor Kimberly Arbaugh officiating.  Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
